Sewing

I have been itching to cut into this fabric for over a year now. I used this line called Punctuation to make Fletcher's quilt for his big boy bed and bought extra to make a quilt for Finn. I think I have finally decided which pattern I want to use and I'm eager to get started. I made some 6x6 blocks with the scraps from Fletcher's and originally wanted to make these blocks into Finn's twin quilt but I would need around 85 blocks and I know I will never finish. I think I will make some euro shams out of them instead.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the back fabric for this quilt. The vintage 1930's children playing is adorable and works perfectly with the raw edges of this quilt. I worked a long time on this one but it was worth it.

I was worried Fletcher would have a hard time adjusting to his new bed when we moved but I don't think he even noticed. I still have a lot of work to do in the bedrooms but we would like for the boys to share eventually. The quilt fabric goes with everything. Right now he has Dr. Seuss sheets on the bed but when the time comes for Batman and Spider man I think it will all work together.

The next project I want to work on is Christmas Stockings. I think I have found the perfect fabric to do it. The line is called Cherry Christmas.

I LOVE the last 2 sentences!
