Sassy Fairy

Fletcher started using a "sassy" around 6mths old. He came to love it very quickly. We would put about 5 or 6 in his crib so when he woke up at night he could find one on his own. Once he got a little older, we only let him have it at nap time and bedtime. Well, the sassies became an issue for us once he started sleeping in his big bed. We couldn't keep them from falling out at night. He also started biting holes in them and one by one they were going in the trash. I decided when he turned 2 1/2 we would be done with them. I started telling him about the "Sassy Fairy" and how she would come and take the sassies to give to babies that needed them and leave a big boy toy for the big kid. After about a week of building it up, Danny and I decided it was time.

Fletcher gathered all the sassies and picked a spot to hang them. He brought along Spider Man to help out.

I will admit I was sad over this milestone. He looks so sweet with that sassy in his mouth.

Fletcher loved his new scooter from the Sassy Fairy until bedtime came. He cried and cried for his sassies. I felt terrible! Every day got better and after about 3-4 days he quit asking for them. Now, on to potty training.

  1. Love that you are blogging again! The boys are precious! I remember when we made Reese give up his bahs. Sneaky boy would all of a sudden pop out with one. I think he must of hidden them all over the house :)
